January has seen a flurry of political activity in Uttar Pradesh especially within the BJP where 13 MLAs and 3 ministers, left to join the Samajwadi Party.<br /><br />All except one, was either Dalit or from the OBC community.<br /><br />At the same time, other parties including Chandrashekhar Azad's Azad Samaj Party and Asaduddin Owaisi-led third front, are also claiming the Dalit and the OBC vote.<br /><br /><br />If there is one thing that is clear in these elections, it is that the Dalit and the OBC votes hold the key to victory.
